About Us

As Headteacher of Malbank School and Sixth Form College I would like to extend a warm welcome to all families considering joining our community. Within this website we aim to provide you with the essential information to make an informed decision. Confidence in a school comes from knowing and understanding what happens within it and we hope that you extend your knowledge through visits to Malbank and discussions with staff. Students are most successful when parents and staff work together.

Malbank enjoys a distinctive ethos and long-standing traditions. Although the school is proud of its 450 years of history, Malbank is a dynamic and forward-looking organisation and a leading specialist college preparing young people for the future.

We are a happy and very high achieving school, described by Ofsted as creative, innovative, caring and effective, valued by parents and praised by students. We aim to give all our students the skills, knowledge and values to enable them to lead happy and successful lives. In short, we are proud to put our students at the heart of everything that we do.

At Malbank, our vision is based on the value we place on our students' achievements, both academically and personally. We recognise that every individual has particular needs and interests, talents and aspirations and we believe that everyone has a worthwhile contribution to make. We are keen to play our part in ensuring that young people grow into responsible, self-confident citizens who will thrive in all aspects of their adult life. We value our excellent relationships with parents/guardians and our strong links with local, national and international partners.

I look forward to working with you in the future to ensure that your child fulfils their potential and benefits from the many opportunities that we have to offer.
